Hogwarts Legacy works so spectacularly that Warner Bros.. announced that the game would become the start of a series.
We already know that the game Hogwarts Legacy was a huge success. Now, we have known additional data that demonstrates the extent of the success of this production.
Nowadays, players spent more than 267 million hours in the gaming world. Moreover, they planted 393 million magic plants, prepared 242 million potions and defeated 1,25 billion evil wizards. Interest in the game is expected to be much greater than that of the Fantastic Beasts film series. On the Harry Potter Fan Wiki (available on Fandom.com), the pages dedicated to The Hogwarts Legacy have a score 39% higher than those dedicated to the aforementioned series of films during the release periods of its sequels.
On Twitch, viewers watched a total of more than 55 million hours of content Hogwarts Legacy gratuit between the 8 February and the 22 February. During these two weeks, it was the second most popular game on the service – only League of Legends did better.
Warner Bros. is so pleased with what company officials call the “spectacular results” of Hogwarts Legacy that he sees the game as the start of a longer series. Therefore, a sequel is virtually certain.
The success of Hogwarts Legacy is all the more remarkable that Warner Bros.. is currently the only major Hollywood studio developing its own games. Other companies, if they try their luck in this market, outsource the development of titles to external developers or simply resell the licenses of their brands.
It should be mentioned that the developers have no plans to add downloadable content to Hogwarts Legacy. Instead of that, the game may receive a film adaptation as an HBO series.
As a reminder, Hogwarts Legacy was released on 10 February on PC and Xbox Series X consoles, Xbox Series S et PlayStation 5. Xbox One and PlayStation owners 4 will have to wait until 4 April for its release, and Nintendo Switch users through July. 25.
The game was a success. Hogwarts Legacy achieved impressive sales results on Steam and one of the highest business records for a single-player game.
The game was so popular that stores began to run out of boxed editions. The stock also topped last year's Elden Ring sales results in Europe.
